TOUR de BUCKEYE LAKE CYCLING EVENT – SATURDAY, AUGUST 24, 2019
Join us for Tour de Buckeye Lake’s 45, 26 or 8 mile bicycle Tour circumventing beautiful Buckeye Lake! The 45 and 26 mile Tours this year include a 4.1 mile stretch along the new Buckeye Lake Dam. The 45-mile option includes a ride through picturesque Dawes Arboretum. Net proceeds from the cycling event benefit the development of multi-use trails around Buckeye Lake and the Bike Buckeye Lake Christmas Bike Drive, providing bicycles to underprivileged children.
Bike Buckeye Lake’s Tour de Buckeye Lake offers three distinct bicycling courses throughout the day, all circumnavigating beautiful Buckeye Lake. All rides begin and end at the Buckeye Lake Winery – 13750 Rosewood Drive, Thornville. Be sure to plan for the live band playing at the post-cycling party!
With three bike routes to choose from, there is something for everyone!
45 mile route • 26.5 mile route • 8 mile route
There will be two rest stops for the 45 mile and 26.5 mile routes that include water, snacks and restroom facilities. Rest stops will be located at Brooks Park in Fairfield County and at North Shore Boat Ramp in the Village of Buckeye Lake, Licking County.
All routes will be well marked with arrows and signage and police cars with flashing lights will be present where traffic needs alerted to riders. A route instruction sheet will be provided at registration for each of the three rides indicating turns and distance between turns. A digital route is also available via the Ride with GPS – Bike Computer app.
