Our Accomplishments

4.1 mile Buckeye Lake Dam Trail – Bike Buckeye Lake drove, and sold, the concept of having a multi-purpose trail on top of the new Buckeye Lake dam, which was not part of the original dam concept. The current 4.1 mile trail on top of the Buckeye Lake dam, that we all enjoy today, is a result of Bike Buckeye Lake working closely with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and other supporters on the vision, design and development. Watch the Trail Construction.

Award Winning – Bike Buckeye Lake is a recipient of the Licking County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Development Award.

Maple Bay Elevated Boardwalk Trail – We are in the final phases of an engineering study for a proposed elevated boardwalk trail overlooking Maple Bay with a connector in Licking county. Potential routes have been identified and we have the support of landowners as well as ODNR.

Perry County Trail – After participating in Perry County Active Transportation Plan creation, we started securing property rights for the Buckeye Lake multiuse trail in Perry County.

Successful Cycling Event – To raise awareness and support for Bike Buckeye Lake’s Mission, we hold an annual Tour de Buckeye Lake cycling event that has brought over 500 cyclists to the Buckeye Lake region. We strive to increase riders each year! To learn more about Tour de Buckeye Lake, click here.

Providing Bikes to Children – Since 2016, Bike Buckeye Lake has held an annual Christmas Bike Drive to provide local, underprivileged children with a bicycle, helmet and bike lock for Christmas. Our tremendous success of providing hundreds of children with those gifts has been made possible by community support, generous donors and committed volunteers. Supporters – One of the greatest accomplishments of Bike Buckeye Lake is being able to garner the amount of support it has. From donors and Tour de Buckeye Lake cyclists, to event sponsors, volunteers and local development agencies, the support for Bike Buckeye Lake’s Mission of multi-purpose trail development has been amazing.
